Come on a once in a lifetime adventure with us
Date: 5.30pm Thurs the 24th of August to 10am Mon the 28th of August – A Rainforest Retreat
The five-day getaway will give guests the chance to relax, rejuvenate and rebalance the body in a place of outstanding natural beauty, home to the largest range of plants and animals on Earth.
Visitors will be treated to a stay amongst the treetops of the world’s oldest rainforest in luxury bayan accommodation. Fifteen tranquil villas are situated in the heart of the Daintree at Daintree Eco-Lodge, the only place on the planet where two World Heritage Sites meet, just a stone’s throw away from the Great Barrier Reef and 90 minutes’ drive North of Cairns.
Each morning guests will be able to wake-up to the deep echo of the birds from the canopy above before enjoying an hour long Dynamic Outdoor Pilates session hosted by Mandy Millan, Founder of Flo Wellbeing and Rainforest Retreat curator. Designed to lengthen and strengthen the body, Mandy’s classes promise to tone, stretch and sculpt muscles to leave you feeling long, lean and lithe. The soundtrack of upbeat electronic music tailored to the untouched wilderness is guaranteed to promote energy, vitality and a magnetic vibe.
Complementing the wholesome itinerary of mindfulness, meditation and movement, is the retreat’s nutritious food offering. Using the finest seasonal ingredients, Executive Chef, Zach, will be taking guests on a culinary vegetarian voyage throughout each day of their stay with a bespoke two course menu tailored to the energising experience.
Lodgers can truly be at one with wildlife with a leisurely river cruise or guided tour as they discover the primeval trees, tangled mangroves and tranquil rivers that are a haven for the crocodiles, cassowary birds and tree kangaroos who call the rainforest home.
It’s in this sanctuary of nature guests will be able to learn about the Daintree’s healing spirit ‘Wawu-Karrba’ as they submerse themselves in the local waterfalls and cleanse the soul according to the ancient traditions of the spiritual ancestors of the Kuku Yalanji tribe. The on-site spa will also be on hand to renew the heart, body and with invigorating treatments that integrate the wisdom of the Aboriginal cultures, medicines and spirituality with the powerful force of nature to create a therapeutic environment like no other.
Mandy Millan, Founder of Flo Wellbeing comments: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enjoy a wellness retreat in one of Australia’s most extraordinary locations. My fun and hands-on approach to Pilates will banish those winter blues leaving you visibly refreshed and restored.”
